Artificial Grass Laying in London

There are in fact a number of advantages to using artificial rather than grass lawn:

The process of artificial grass laying is not too technical but it is time consuming and may be tricky. Why not leave it to our trained, fully insured, professional and highly experienced landscape gardeners?

We begin by removing existing turf and the grass roots. A layer of sand similar to builder’s sand is then spread over the area to form the base for the artificial turf. Our landscapers then carefully level and compact the sand base. The final stage is to spread out a membrane that will prevent weeds from growing under the turf.

The turf is then rolled out so that the whole pile points in the same direction. The sections are staggered rather than laid in rows so that there are no visible lines between rows of turf. Once the landscaper is satisfied with the results, the edges are joined using a special adhesive tape. The turf fibres are roughened slightly to hide the join.

Finally, special pins are used to fasten the edges of the artificial lawn in place and the edges are neatened. The entire artificial lawn is then brushed to make it look as natural as possible.
