With such a cold winter season, most gardeners are delighted that the spring is finally here. Best of all, it is time to plant seeds and cultivate gardens which will bring about the hot green beauty of the spring season. However, without early preparation, your gardening will not be good. Here are some of the most useful tips to organise your gardens for the spring.
Start searching for seeds and bulbs
If you’d like to grow flowers such as lilies, it is time to start ordering bulbs and seeds. Otherwise, you’ll miss out on the colourful summer display. You can either buy the seeds on the web or get them from the nearest store in your local area. Ensure the bulbs and seeds are in excellent condition to avoid any disappointments late in the season once the spring season has passed.
Cleaning the garden
If there are any rubbish in the garden, it is time to throw them out. Don’t ignore the lawn and the pond. Get rid of any unwanted weeds from the garden and put them in a stack to create a fertiliser that can later be used when growing plants. Excavate the soil in the flowerbeds and garden to ensure it does not harden. If you can’t do this on your own, it’s time to hire a gardening service in London.
Tidying the greenhouse
If you prefer planting in a greenhouse, it’s time to do some tidying. If there are any leftover plant debris in the containers, clear them out. Ensure that the seats and floors are cleaned thoroughly to avoid attracting any pests. Look at the temperature and anything else necessary to make sure the greenhouse is in a good state when the spring season begins.
